In this week's episode, Georgia shares her journey with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and explains how she became a successful freelancer while studying at university. This episode tackles a lot of heavy topics including suicidal ideation, self-harm and hospitalisation. We also discuss the importance of having a self-care routine and the value of activating your different senses when putting together a self-care plan. We explore how taking time out for self-care can help you to be more productive and well-adjusted, and to feel less anxious.
In this episode, we talk about how Georgia set up her own self-care routine. Georgia is extremely well organised when it comes to planning her days and she explains how this discipline has helped her BPD. Georgia's routine includes:
Using a Lumie light alarm.
Writing Morning pages to get all her thoughts out on paper at least 3 times per week.
Creating a to do list/ plan for her day.
Applying makeup to feel ready.
Not working in bed.
